China reinforces defense against possible US-North Korea war

In 2017, Democratic People's Republic of Korea quickly improved its nuclear weapons capability, escalating tensions against us and its allies. North Korea with success conducted a series of intercontinental missile (ICBM) tests and commenced threatening to attack the territories of the U.S. and South Korea in revenge to any group action against it. U.S. President Donald Trump aforementioned that military solutions are "locked and loaded" against north Korea.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the
international organization John Bolton and former U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta expressed that the standoff between the U.S. and North Korea over Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program is similar to the Cuban Missile Crisis

China is strengthening its defenses along the border it shares with North Korea in order to prepare for a possible war in the region.
This is read in a report published Monday by  The Wall Street Journal , according to which the Chinese program includes the establishment of a new border brigade and the construction of bunkers for civilians.
According to the note, China's preparations also include the construction of a fence and the provision of patrols and checkpoints at the border.
The report came despite the fact that Monday's Chinese officials downplayed the importance of their preparations on the border with North Korea, reiterating that the Korean crisis should not be solved by military means .
Chinese forces "maintain a normal state of preparation for combat and training," a representative of the Chinese Defense Ministry said.

If I am going to make bets where I think the US and China would enter into conflict for the first time, it is not Taiwan or the South China Sea or the East China Sea. I think it would be on the Korean peninsula, "says Mark Cozad, a former US intelligence official. for East Asia.

Although Beijing refuses to make special preparations, the concerns it has expressed are not surprising, because, in case of a war between the United States and the United States, and North Korea, the Asian giant would not be safe from US attacks considering that the bombs would fall near its borders.

China also wants to strengthen its borders in order to avoid a wave of North Korean refugees entering its territory in the future, according to several experts.
"If they are going to make bets where I think the US and China would enter into conflict for the first time, it is not Taiwan or the South China Sea or the East China Sea. I think it would be on the Korean peninsula, "said Mark Cozad, a former US intelligence official. for East Asia.

Calling for a moderate and peaceful solution to the North Korean crisis and possibly fear of the outbreak of a war between Washington and Pyongyang - which will surely affect Beijing - China said last April that it will not allow the United States to attack North Korea.
