Road transport and electricity minister and Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said the government has not intervened in stopping the bail of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
He said this after the fifth death anniversary of late President Zillur Rahman at his Banani graveyard.
Quader alleged that BNP does not mean Adalat's verdict. He said that BNP will not be established in the country if BNP is in power.
In the Zia Orphanage Trust case on Monday, Begum Khaleda Zia was ordered to suspend the bail granted to the High Court until May 8.
The appeal bench of the four judges led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain accepted the separate leave-to-appeal made by the ACC and the prosecution over the suspension of the bail.
After this order, his lawyer Zainul Abedin said, 'This order is unwarranted and unprecedented.'
After the order, he told reporters, "We think it has been an unprecedented order. We are forced to say unprecedented because of this order in the past, the highest court has not given the order. '
