 World Ijtema, the second largest religious gathering of Muslims, begins tomorrow Friday (January 13) after Fajr prayers. Meanwhile, the Ijtema ground on the banks of the Turag River in Tongir has been filled to the brim with the arrival of Tabligh Muslims to participate in the Ijtema.

This time too, thousands of security personnel are active around Ijtema. But they are satisfied with the overall preparation of Ijtoma. Cold-related diseases can increase in winter, so health camps have been set up.

Zahid Ahsan Russel, Minister of State for Youth and Sports of the Government of Bangladesh, inaugurated a private health camp on Thursday (January 12) at noon.

Those of the Tabligh Jamaat who were staying in mosques for various periods in the work of inviting Islam and Ijtema has now settled in pandals. According to the district, many people have taken shelter under the open sky near the field, not being able to find shelter.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun visited the Ijtema Maidan.

In a press briefing, he said that there will be strict security arrangements for foreign pilgrims at the Ijtema Maidan and on the way to and from the airport.

Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Molya Nazrul Islam said that a strict security zone will be established in the Maidan and the surrounding area for local worshippers.

Like every time, this time too, a security ring has been built around the Ijtema ground with a watch tower, monitoring by CC cameras, intelligence activities in plain clothes. Ijtema local and foreign top-level Murribis will speak on the 6 Osuls of Tabligh.

Since the last few years, two factions of Tabligh have been performing Ijtema separately at the same place. In the first phase, Maulana Hafez Zobair Panthi, and in the second phase Maulana Saad Panthi Tablighi Jamaat members of India will perform the Ijtema. In the Ijtema of the two factions, the local Muslims and the foreign Muslims will gather in this Maidan in the hope of eternal peace in the afterlife by worshiping and pleasing Allah.

World Ijtema has not been held in the last two years due to the Corona epidemic situation. After two years, the first phase of the two-phase Vishwa Ijtema will be held from January 13 to 15 and the second phase of the Vishwa Ijtema will be held from January 20 to 22 with a break of four days in between.

According to custom, the last prayer will be on the last day of the Ijtema of every episode. The second phase of the World Ijtema will conclude with the final prayer.
