On Thursday night, Natore Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Asma Shaheen officially announced the results. She was elected unofficially with 1 lakh 2 thousand 726 votes under the paddy sheaf symbol. Her nearest rival Abul Kalam Azad (Daripalla) got 89 thousand 431 votes.

Barrister Farzana Sharmin Putul is the daughter of the late Fazlur Rahman Patol, former State Minister for Youth and Sports of the BNP government. Fazlur Rahman Patol was elected as a Member of Parliament four times from this constituency in 1991, 1996 and 2001. However, the seat was lost to BNP in the 2008 election. Later, in the context of the 2014, 2018 and 2024 elections, there was no BNP representative in this seat for 18 years.

Putul, who won the seat after his father's death, said, "I express my gratitude to Allah Almighty. This victory belongs to all the people of Lalpur-Bagatipara." He expressed special gratitude to the leaders and workers who worked tirelessly in the election field.
