The Prime Minister has returned to the country

 newsfocusbd : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has returned home after a two-day official visit to India. The plane carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday (June 22) around 8:30 pm.

Earlier today at 6.20 pm, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage left New Delhi's Palam Airport.


A high-level delegation from India and Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Mustafizur Rahman bid farewell to the Prime Minister as he left New Delhi's VVIP Airport Palam Air Force Station.

newsfocusbd :This is the first bilateral visit by a head of government to India since the BJP-led coalition formed the government for the third consecutive term after the Lok Sabha elections.

Also, the visit was Sheikh Hasina's second visit to the Indian capital in less than 15 days. Earlier, he was among the dignitaries invited to Modi's swearing-in ceremony on June 9.

During the Prime Minister's visit, Dhaka and New Delhi today signed 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), including 7 new and 3 renewed ones, to further strengthen the growing relationship between the two neighboring countries.

Sheikh Hasina arrived at Palam Airport with her tour companions at 5:30 pm on Friday (June 21). Minister of State for External Affairs and Environment Kirti Vardhan Singh welcomed the Prime Minister.
