US and Turkey target financial network linked to Islamic State: US Treasury Department-News Focus bd
The US Treasury Department said on Thursday it was taking joint action with Turkey against a network. That network played a key role in managing, transferring, and distributing money for the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.

Turkey has seized the assets of members of the network and added them to the US sanctions list, the Treasury Department said in a statement.
Among those sanctioned are Brukan al-Khatuni, an Iraqi citizen living illegally in Turkey, his two sons, and two businesses they used to transfer money on behalf of the Islamic State between Turkey, Iraq, and Syria, the statement said.
